Carolyn Wonderland
She will be at Del Norte Credit Union on August 19, 2011.

Carolyn Wonderland has the goods. A triple threat with her diverse songwriting, soulful vocals, and guitar goddess status—all featured on over twenty CDs, six of which are her releases—she has a pedigree in this business that's hard to match. A bit of a renegade, she likes to incorporate elements of Blues, Country, Swing, Zydeco, Surf, Gospel, Soul, and some nights, maybe even a Cumbia into the musical mix. D.K. & The Affordables
They will be playing at Overlook Park and are the opening act for Junior Brown on May 20th, 2011.

D.K. Warner–Vocals, Guitar, Interesting Tidbits Drummer, upright bass player, guitarist, former hair band member turned hillbilly greaser. An eclectic blend would be the best way to describe D.K.'s musical history. Crossing paths with many musicians and fans of music over the years has provided him with a rather varied repertoire. Limited time in music school during his college years did little to provide him with the background that he was seeking. Add to that the fact that his percussion instructor had a problem with cranial/rectal inversion. The biggest musical direction and influence truly came from Jim Bowie, a Buddhist banjo master originally from Oklahoma. Impromptu musical gatherings in a collection of antiquated mobile homes in the hills of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains were in some form classroom sessions for the master and student.

Eric Sardinas Band
Performing at Ashley Pond on June 3rd, 2011.

He'll put out hard and soulful blues/rock. Eric's signature brand of Delta dynamite has been a long time in the making. At the incredible early age of six, he already had his fingers on the fret board. Though born a lefty, he naturally gravitated towards playing the guitar as a right-hander. Admittedly, this could be considered a difficult approach, but it never slowed Sardinas down. In fact, it's actually been a major contributing factor in the formation of his unique style and specialized technique.

Also helping to shape his artistic direction were the soulful grounds in which he planted his earliest musical roots. Sardinas recalls that it was exposure to the likes of gospel, Motown and R&B that eventually caused him to seek out the emotionally charged acoustic sounds of the Deep South. In 1978 Greg formed his group Channel One which was a favorite in the New England area and from there had the opportunity to play tenor sax with the revived Artie Shaw Orchestra under leadership of Dick Johnson from 1986 to '87. Following this experience, Greg ventured out as a post hard bop soloist playing Jazz Festivals, Jazz Societies and Jazz Clubs throughout the U.S. Canada and abroad, including most of Europe, UK, and Moscow and Georgia Russia. James Hyland Band
They will be coming to Smith's Shopping Centers on July 1st, 2011.

His style: Country and Americana from Austin, Texas. If there's a betting pool for next big singer-songwriters in Austin, James Hyland's name floats at the top. Hyland initially showcased his talents as founder of the South Austin Jug Band, but Celestial Navigation clearly sets his course for the stars with wonderfully crafted Americana such as "Lancelot & the Lady of Shallot." Former bandmate Warren Hood co-wrote "More Than I Let On," and Jon Beckham contributes "Snowy River," but Hyland is well in command of an evocative writing style with "Girls From Lake Pontchartrain," and "21 Days, 21 Towns". John Németh
Performing on the mountain on June 24th, 2011, this is the Pajarito Ski Area & Los Alamos Monitor night.

Heavy on the Blues and R&B, John Németh is a rising blues star—a singer steeped in the tradition and reminiscent of B.B. King, Ray Charles and Junior Parker—and a harmonica player of riveting intensity and virtuosity. His decade long career has found him opening for Robert Cray, Keb Mo', and Earl Thomas. Performing major music festivals around the United States, Europe, Canada and Asia has brought him critical acclaim. To read more click on John's photo or name above.

JT & the Clouds
Performing at Ashley Pond on May 27th.

Americana, Roots-rock & soul from Chicago. JT and the Clouds come from Chicago; their music is Chicago music—rough edged, sad, hopeful, and shot through with soul. The music is alive to the ever-shifting tides of modern indie music, but remains steeped in the city's fine traditions of soul, rhythm and blues. They resist the urge to pigeonhole themselves in a genre, or be easily pigeonholed. Most of the people that inspire them are similarly hard to pin down. It's these ghosts of the past and future, awake in their music and words, that have pushed critics so far afield in reaching for name-checks to compare them to—Sam Cooke, the Band, the Velvet Underground, Prince, Curtis Mayfield...and more recently, Bon Iver, M. Ward, and Jeff Buckley. To read more click on their photo or name above.

Junior Brown
Performing at Overlook Park in White Rock on May 20th, 2011.

Incredible classic country style guitarist, he plays jazz, blues, surf-rock, Hawaiian and rockabilly—amazing guitarist. "A lot of people tell me they don't like country music, but they like what I am doing," says Junior Brown. "I hear that line more than anything else," which is ironic because a couple of licks is all it takes to erase any doubts concerning Junior's stylistic allegiance. His music combines the soul of country and the spirit of rock n' roll. In Junior's case, playing everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to rock showcases on the West Coast and his hometown of Austin, Texas, 'crossover' is not synonymous with watered-down or light-weight. Ryan McGarvey
He and his band will be performing ar Ashley Pond on September 16, 2011.

A Rockin' Blues Man. Ryan Patrick McGarvey was born on October 30th 1986, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At a very early age Ryan took an interest in music, in particular—the guitar. As an infant, Ryan would crawl over to his father Patrick when he would play, and listen to his dad's playing. At age two, Ryan received his first real acoustic guitar, made by Harmony Guitars. Around age seven, Ryan's interest in music intensified. He became well acquainted with the music he had grown up listening to from his parent's record collection of classic hard rock. Soon he was trying to recreate the sounds he heard coming from those albums by such artists as: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
